Four people were injured Sunday morning, after a two-vehicle traffic crash located near 7717 Unionville Rd. at 7:46 a.m.
The preliminary information released by Illinois State Police, (ISP) indicate Aaron Gipson, 25, of Paducah, was driving a silver 1997 Honda Civic east on Unionville Road, with his passenger, Joshua Sullivan, 26, of Metropolis.
Russell Rhodes, 61, of Brookport was driving a gray 2008 Dodge Caravan with passenger Deborah Rhodes, 61, also of Brookport. Rhodes was traveling west on Unionville Road.
The Honda crossed into the westbound lane, colliding with the Dodge. The Rhodes’ were transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Gipson was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Sullivan was transported to a local medical facility with serious injuries.
According to ISP, the investigation into the crash continues and charges are pending.
All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
