Recognizing local achievements

Wednesday, January 25, 2017 - Updated: 8:52 AM
Sometimes in the hectic hustle and bustle of everyday life we don’t take time to notice the successes of the people and organizations around us. Or those successes may derive from years of work and the gradual changes aren’t as noticeable as a quick turn-around project. And more often than not, our governments and organizations can’t really afford the expense to publicly toot their own horns through advertising.
You may have seen a full page ad in last week’s Metropolis Planet and this week’s Southern Scene celebrating the achievements of the City of Metropolis. It was placed and paid for by Richard Kruger and Kruger, Henry and Hunter Attorneys at Law.
We applaud the law firm for stepping up to the plate to recognize those achievements made by our local government. Should all go as planned, you will see ads of this type once per month highlighting other governments, organizations and churches within our county.
For many years Richard Kruger has been involved in multiple government projects and organizations and has seen the amount of time it takes for many of these accomplishments to come to life and be visible to the public. Thank you, Mr. Kruger, for wanting to celebrate and share these successes with our readers.
There is so much to be proud of in Massac County, and we are excited to work with Kruger and the law firm during this campaign.
That, dear readers, is just one of the many reasons we are proud to be part of this community.
