Noah Farmer, Jordan Parmer and J.T. Weber represent the graduating class of 2017 on the baseball team, and they all played a part in the Tuesday win.
Nate Wetzel surrendered a run early but then settled in and threw a complete game for Massac.
The boys dropped a 5-0 decision to Mt. Vernon last week, running into a buzz saw named Quinton Kujawa. Kujawa shut out the Pats and struck out 11 in the process. Eli Windhorst got two of Massac’s six hits in the loss.
Earlier in the week the boys beat St. Mary 14-2 and some of the highlights from that game include Jase Mizell and Weber collecting three hits each and driving in four runs each. Both homered in the game as well with Mizell throwing in a triple to boot. Mizell also pitched three innings of solid relief following starter Cole Patterson on the hill for Massac.
